ABOUT US
LiliumX are a recent University of Oxford spinout that drives innovation in bispecific antibody R&D against cancer. We believe that current bispecific antibody R&D is outdated and focused only on limited known biology. We break free of this limitation by using our highly modular and high-throughput protein platform to discover novel target combinations to make first-in-class bispecific antibodies with entirely new mechanisms of action.
We are backed by mission-driven investors including Y Combinator, Hoxton Ventures, Magnet Ventures, and Acequia Capital. We are disrupting the field of bispecific antibodies and we’re looking for like-minded people to join our efforts to create an impact; we are looking for you.
THE ROLE
During your time with us, you will be involved in:
- Target selection for our internal preclinical asset pipeline through your knowledge in cancer biology
- Planning and executing functional in vitro assays to test the anti-cancer effect of different bispecific antibody in low- and high-throughput formats
- Working and designing projects in conjunction with industrial collaborators
- Designing and analysing in vivo animal studies
- Suggesting and implementing novel ideas related to LiliumX’s assay development and facility expansion
- Supervising junior researchers and placement students
- Working collaboratively with the protein engineering and protein production team
- Supporting grant applications, article publications and patent filing
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for candidates with:
- A PhD (or related) degree in a cell biology-related discipline
- Experience in working with mammalian cells, particularly in oncologic setting
- Experience in high-throughput drug screening in any modality
- Motivation to challenge and learn new skills and knowledge
Not required but helpful attributes include:
- Prior working experience in a cell biology setting
- Ability to automate assays
- Prior work experience in industry
